Many years ago, a tiny acorn was cast to the earth, reached into the dirt, and took root.
Now that single acorn has a vast and deep network of roots that provide nourishment and stability. These roots cling to rock and soil, holding the very ground beneath us.
This tiny acorn is now a massive collection of limbs and branches that span in all directions providing safety and shelter for hundreds of animals. A place where we may hear countless birds sing for years to come.
The small acorn most impressively now has grown generations of millions of leaves that come and go with each passing year. The leaves provide shade, soak up the sun, and breathe life into our air.
One acorn now has made thousands of acorns. One at this moment has just been cast to the ground.

Roots symbolize our connection to this earth and our upbringing (family).
The trunk and the branches represent growth and the present.
